nunu&nono released a group of amazing works at the 2023 China International Fashion Week held at 751D·PARK in Beijing on March 25. More than 40 pieces on display were debuted for the first time, bringing many surprises to the audience. This is the brand designer Zhang En's new masterpiece. She named the show "Gracious Encounter", not only to express gratitude for all the things she met along the way, but also to hope everyone can have a wonderful restart after three years of chaotic rhythm of life.

Walk through the past into the future

Have you ever seen a time warp? nunu&nono's show seems to have the magic of time and space that takes people through the past and into the future.

The show is divided into three chapters: "Advent", "Exploration" and "Hope", which correspond to the past, present and future respectively. It attempts to present a special "encounter" through retro, simple and futuristic works of different styles. The "Advent" chapter is the first to show many local cultural styles of clothing, in which many elements of traditional Chinese culture are fully expressed, such as improved cheongsam, shoulder pads, and embellishment of Chinese knot elements, showing a kind of magnificent three-dimensional beauty; In the chapter of "Exploration", the main display is the daily, simple style of clothing, corresponding to our current life fashion; The last chapter of "Hope" has a completely different sense of science fiction and future. On one side is the outline with a sense of science and technology, and on the other is the extremely primitive color. The two very different styles collide together, creating a unique atmosphere.

Such three different styles can transition and integrate together so naturally in one show. The visual aesthetics of this big show can be summed up as the ultimate embodiment of "science fiction retroism".

Nature's beauty can also be worn on the body

Designer Zhang En said that the work design of this release is a new attempt for her, in the color of her bold use of black and gold color matching, in the form of the use of vertical style clothing technology, better enhance the exquisite degree of clothing; The design is also unique, and all of these innovations are inspired by nature.

Three years ago, Zhang En was deeply impressed by the scenery of northwest China during a trip. Then she thought, why not bring the beauty of nature to life? As a fashion designer, she naturally came up with the idea of wearing scenery on her body as a walking art. Therefore, she dives into nature to experience the Gobi and desert, listen to their breathing, draw inspiration from them, and finally integrate these elements into her works. For example, in the chapter "Arrival", cheongsam is extended with the same color as the Gobi, making people feel the desert style.
